The Yellow stone Trails, Lets go hiking Namibia and The Lithon Foundation, made it possible for TB Free to have a successful fundraiser through the hiking event that took place on the 9th of May 2024.
Keeping active with TB Free.
NPO Level Up Training was organized by the Lithon Foundation (LF), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS), and several organisations including the Civil Society Information Centre Namibia (CIVIC +264), Namibian Civil Society Non-State Actors Network (NamNet), the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), the Namibia Institute for Democracy (NID), Imago Dei and Side by Side. The purpose of the training was to equip NPO’s with the tools and knowledge to achieve higher levels of maturity and efficiency, ensuring a sustainable future.
The training held at the House of Democracy 70-72 on the 23rd of September 2024.TB Free Foundation Namibia attended the training as well as various non-governmental organisations established in Namibia. Delegates of TB Free Foundation were Mrs. Karin Husselmann, the founder of TB Free Namibia, and Graca Luzolo, the volunteer Nutritionist.
Umbrella Initiatives is a non- governmental organization (NGO) aimed to be the bridge between people willing to help others and people in need.
On Saturday 21st September 2024, Umbrella Initiatives hosted its first Coffee Shop, in partnership with other non-governmental organizations including TB Free Namibia.
The goal of the coffee shop was to generate funds for projects that will benefits positively the less privileged communities.
Delicious cakes and cupcakes, brocthen, lemonade, coffee and healthy snacks were prepared in a hygienic way and sold to various clients. The generated income was utilized mainly for projects that benefit the less-privilege communities specially children.
Second clothes and shoes, old items and stationery were collected and channels to relevant NGO's (non-governmental organizations).It was a pleasure for TB Free Namibia to support the umbrella Initiative in improving the lives of others. As an opponent of no discrimination, TB Free Namibia was happy to assist the less fortunate children in having access to the same toys, stylish clothing, shoes and many other things as children from urban areas.
Umbrella Initiatives continues to empower other NGO's (non-governmental organization) such as TB Free by offering the opportunity to gain valuable skills through their workshops such as the previous ones hosted like, networking , marketing , website development and more to come.
